The Light Reel Film Festival – Wall-E

July 19 @ 3:45 pm - 6:25 pm

As part of our 80th anniversary celebrations, we’re delighted to announce the Light Reel Film Festival, featuring films inspired by the world-class science and technology on campus.

Each film will feature an introduction from a leading scientist and be screened outside in The Quad, complete with a covered tent, giant screen, and comfy seating.

Join us for the heart-warming story of one small robot with a big message. Harwell is home to dozens of companies who work on robotics and space travel (like Magdrive who develop new engines for spacecraft), and tackling climate change.

On Saturday, we’re featuring the futuristic family-friendly favourite, Wall-E, the heart-warming Pixar classic that follows a small waste-collecting robot with a big heart and a mission to save the planet.

We’re delighted to welcome one of our campus robotics experts, to give the introduction prior to this screening.

Food, drinks and snacks are available on site. Beanbags are provided but don’t forget your favourite blanket to settle in and get comfy.
