Private Viewing: Royal Geographical Earth Photography Exhibition

September 11 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Join us for an exclusive private viewing of the Royal Geographical Earth Photography Exhibition, showcasing some of the most inspiring contemporary photography.

Date: Thursday 11th September

Time: 17:30 – 18:30

Location: Quad Two, Rutherford Avenue, Harwell Campus (View on Google Maps here.)

This event is open to both campus members and external visitors. Contact the team to express your interest in attending by clicking the button below.

The evening will feature a short talk from one of this year’s finalists, Tamara Stubbs, who will share insights on the power of storytelling through photography – and why competitions like this play such a vital role in celebrating and giving emerging voices a platform.

Enjoy drinks and canapes as you explore the exhibition, connect with others, and discover the stories behind the images.

We look forward to welcoming you to campus.

About Tamara Stubbs:

Tamara is a documentary photographer and drone cinematographer with a background in film and visual storytelling. For 20 years, she has worked on factual, natural history, and science films for the BBC, Netflix, and National Geographic. She photographed and filmed expeditions to remote environments – from Antarctica and open oceans to the plains of Africa and some of the most northerly Arctic communities.

Her still images have been published by National Geographic, The Guardian, and Geographical magazine, to name a few, and have been recognised by Wildlife Photographer of the Year and the Earth Photo Award. Personal projects in process concentrate on connection and disconnection to our environment, what the outcome might be for human mental health, and survival capabilities, in a world now dominated by tech and demand for time online.
