It will cover recognising the right time to move; managing the relocation process; designing your new space for productivity, culture and growth; and key considerations for international expansion.
Freeths will also look at the small print – heads of terms, contract pitfalls and notice obligations – while company leaders will share valuable lessons from their own moves.

Having worked in the industry for over 33 years, Paul is Director of Facilities, Operations and Health and Safety at Nucleome Therapeutics with extensive experience in laboratory operations, manufacturing, R&D, project management, lab design, and relocations.
Rob Beaston, Savills
A specialist in real estate for the science and tech sector, Rob is a Director at Savills and has been involved in the development of the some of the key science and innovation parks across Oxfordshire. He is embedded in the local innovation ecosystem and acts for a number of the region’s key stakeholders.
Patrick Whetter, Partner Freeths
Patrick is an experienced property lawyer with expertise in commercial landlord and tenant matters, acquisitions, disposals, and portfolio management. He heads up both the Oxford Real Estate team and the Life Sciences property group at Freeths, advising investors and occupiers across the sector. He has extensive knowledge of heads of terms, contract pitfalls, and notice obligations.
Richard Venables, Senior Director, CBRE
A chartered surveyor with nearly 30 years’ experience, Richard is Head of Office for CBRE Oxford. Having worked in all areas of commercial agency, he now specialises in the science and tech sector.
