June 8 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

The Royal British Legion Harwell branch invites you to join in a short service commemorating the 80th Anniversary of D-Day and the Normandy landings. In particular, those from 38 Group RAF, 6th Airborne Division and The Glider Regiment stationed at RAF Harwell, who bravely flew ahead on the eve of D-Day as part of ‘Operation Overlord’ to secure safe passage for those who followed.

The event is open to all to attend, with Veteran organisations joined by local dignitaries, local Military representatives, including the Cadet Forces, local organisations and on-site Campus businesses. Persons attending are welcome to lay a wreath on behalf of an organisation or family connection to the events.
