ATOM Festival of Science & Technology
March 14 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Every year ATOM Festival hosts a series of events to allow our community to discover the world-class science and technology taking place right here, as well as learning about the companies, organisations and scientists who make it happen. The festival is traditionally held in March and in 2026 this will again be the case with the dates 14th-25th March earmarked for ATOM’s showcase of top class science and innovation, brought to you through events like the Science Market and the Peagram Lecture.
ATOM Festival helps build science capital, partnering with schools to engage young people, and offering family-friendly events at weekends encouraging everyone to develop a passion for science and its potential to change the world.
ATOM Festival has had support over the years from local institutions including Oxford University, UKAEA, Abingdon School and Oxford Brookes, local individuals such as the well-known local science author, Professor Frank Close, and many local companies. If you are in the science sector you should be checking out the opportunities for partnering with ATOM Festival in the future.
Meanwhile, if you can’t wait until next festival, take a look at the all-year-round science talks offered by the ATOM Society.
We couldn’t do any of this without the many volunteersthat make our inspiring and inclusive programme come alive.
So please – get inspired, spread the word – and plug into the power of science on your doorstep!
