28X Challenge

28 days of X habit to kickstart a permanent lifestyle change.

Is there a new lifestyle change you would like to make for 2025? Build a habit and make it a permanent lifestyle change by joining our 28X Challenge.

The 21/90 rule states that it takes 21 days to make a habit and 90 days to make it a part of your permanent lifestyle. Take the first step by signing up to join our challenge and commit to your goal for 28 days.

This challenge is for you, a personal journey. We want to make it fun and create a way for everyone to support each other on our journeys. As such, you’ll be part of a WhatsApp community group where we’ll celebrate each other’s successes.

The habit should be whatever makes most sense for you. It might be about movement like daily stretching, press-ups, or number of steps. It could be about focus like meditation, reading or yoga. It could be switching caffeine for decaf or going vegetarian for the month. You decide what your challenge will be, and then stick at it with other 28Xers cheering you on.

Your goal needs to be SMART where possible – be Specific, make it Measurable and chart your progress using our calendar tracker, ensure it’s Achievable, make it Relevant to you, and finally, it’s Time-bound (28 days in February).

How it works:

  • Sign up below with your name and a brief description of your goal. Make it specific e.g. I will walk at least 8k steps per day, not I will walk more. (If you want to check out a list of new habit ideas for inspiration, click here)
  • You’ll receive a welcome pack complete with information, a calendar tracker and pen (you can also use a habit tracking app to monitor your progress), and a copy of Atomic Habits by James Clear.
  • You’ll be added to a WhatsApp community group with other 28Xers to help you stay motivated.
  • Keep your streak going until the end of the month
  • If you manage to last to the end of the month, Congratulations, you’ll receive a limited edition 28X pin badge to show off your achievement!

28X is simple but being from ARC it still packs in a lot of the science about how to build new habits – like having a specific goal, sticking to it and having positive peer support. We’re excited to see what changes our awesome community will make (and are busy working on our own)!
