Neurodiversity with James Cracknell

April 24 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

James Cracknell, OBE, will be hosting a discussion about Neurodiversity on Wednesday 24th April at 12:30 in Launchpad, Quad Two.

Following a stellar career rowing for Great Britain – winning two Olympic gold medals in 2000 and 2004, and six World Championships – he continues to challenge himself with endurance adventures, despite a life-threatening bike accident in 2010. While cycling across America he was hit by a fuel truck travelling at 70 mph. He suffered a contrecoup injury to the frontal lobe of his brain. James was never going to quit so embarked on a long journey of recovery back to full health.

James decided on a career change to help champion wellbeing in the workplace and now consults at Curve Workplaces as their Sustainability & Wellbeing Ambassador, he works with his colleagues and their clients to advise on occupational health issues that can promote and maintain the health and wellbeing of employees.

It is a wonderful opportunity to hear James talk about Triumph over Adversity, understanding the power of resilience and reinvention.
