The Wire Turns One: Connecting More Than 1,600 Innovators Across the UK and Ireland
One year after its launch, The Wire now connects more than 1,600 members across 30 innovation centres in the UK and Ireland.
From finding specialist expertise to exchanging advice, the platform helps businesses access opportunities beyond their own centre. It is a powerful reminder that innovation communities become stronger when knowledge and connections are shared.
Whisterfield grows at Witney Business & Innovation Centre
Every business grows differently, and Whisterfield’s journey is a great example of how flexible workspace can support that growth. Starting with occasional use of Witney Business and Innovation Centre’s coworking space, the business later moved into a private office as its needs evolved. The story highlights the value of flexible workspace that grows with your business, from start-up stage through to expansion.
Thrive at Work Oxfordshire
Looking to create a healthier, happier and more inclusive workplace? Thrive at Work Oxfordshire is a free support programme for Oxfordshire employers of all sizes, offering practical guidance, wellbeing resources, staff surveys, training and step-by-step support to help organisations improve workplace wellbeing and achieve certification.
The initiative also offers free Health MOTs for employees, including blood pressure and BMI checks, wellbeing advice and signposting to local support services.
Unlock Funding For Apprenticeships and Workforce Development
The Growth and Skills Levy helps employers develop talent through apprenticeship training. Larger organisations can transfer unused funds, while smaller businesses may be able to access fully funded training for new or existing employees.
It offers a practical way to address skills gaps, support progression and prepare teams for future growth.
NatWest Accelerator Opens at Oxford Centre for Innovation
A new NatWest Accelerator hub has officially opened at Oxford Centre for Innovation, bringing expert business support, funding opportunities and a powerful network to entrepreneurs across Oxfordshire. The programme is designed to help founders start, grow and scale their businesses through workshops, masterclasses, networking and tailored support.
